Quite an interesting read


This is brilliant find, but I read the other day that they are having trouble confirming it is in fact there.

Gliese 581 g is roughly 20.5 Lightyears from Earth and with current propulsion techniques it could take is over 200 years to reach it.

It also orbits Gliese 581, a red dwarf star, once every 37 earth days. Now there has been alot of questions raised about this find and here are a few links for more information:

I am all for building a Generation ship and going out into the big bad universe to explore and colonize, frankly I am dumbfounded that we have yet to put a human on Mars.

ya, being stuck out in space for over 200yrs.... ...no thanks. If the slightest thing goes wrong its tickets.


I really doubt we gonna see man leave this solar system within the next 1000years

we still need to get our own planet running right before we can work together to move on out.

by then we most probably will have killed eachother off by then
