try using group messages to all your face book friends, I have with a few results I may add.

I guess many people's excuses not to join is because if they already use facebook why join a forum?

If we can answer that question, this forum will take off (big time)
The last 2 days there have been more posts per day than we had in a week before, so we are doing something right i think.
and totay is off to a good start as well.
Keep it up, "feed" it with interesting discussions and new members, and help it grow

True! Though the level of activeness can only be determined once said members have signed up!

For the currently signed-up and inactive members, why not send a mailshot encouraging them to introduce themselves at the Introductions section? I know that's what the xbox-360 forum did to me...I forgot I was a registered user and they sent me an email saying that I haven't posted in so many days (it was a lot of days) and that my account will be marked as inactive and removed if not posted by date so and so and it went on by saying, why not introduce yourself at the introductions section provided with a link.

......Just a thought.
